The Execution of Lady Jane Grey by Paul Delaroche. This classic artwork from the public domain was created in 1833 by French painter Paul Delaroche (Hippolyte-Paul Delaroche), who is particularly known for his work depicting historical scenes. This iconic painting shows a 17 year old Lady Jane Grey, who reigned as Queen of England for only 9 days, face her tragic beheading at Tower Hill, as a result of being tried for treason in the year 1554. This reproduction image of the original oil on canvas painting which is currently on display at the National Gallery in London, has been remastered and color corrected.
