I look skyward, my eyes swim in blue, refracted light and golden shadows. Movement, swift and sure, a fractured moment of life and death…Peregrine. My eyes flicker in the sunlight, I look at a too blue sky. Movement... a flash of colour and shape. Peregrine.
A Falcon hunts, cradled by the wind, eyes sharp and senses taut. Dancing on the breath of the wind.
I have tried to capture the movement of the Falcon and the chaotic twisting of the wind. The dripped and splashed paint mimics the glare from the sun in the blue sky. Gold drops reflect light through the painting and the fractured lines suggest a moment in time being shattered. The Falcon hunts. One life one death. Peregrine. This painting is ready to hang.
